Dr. Carbery is also pleased to be one of the very few dentists in Quebec offering Nobel Biocare Immediate Function^TM procedures for replacing missing teeth. With the Immediate Function procedures, a 3D Scan (Galileos)^TM is used with virtual planning software to plan the dental implant placement and to facilitate the design and fabrication of the final replacement teeth. All this is done after an initial consultation with the patient and before the scheduled implant placement.

The Nobel Biocare All-on-4^TM procedure is an Immediate Function protocol that is attractive to people with dentures or in need of full upper and/or lower restorations. After initial work-up, qualified patients receive just four implants (normally) and a full set of new replacement teeth in just one appointment--without bone grafts. The real appeal is how quickly dentures can be replaced with permanent implants and fixed, non-removable, new replacement teeth.

Unlike other approaches that use six, eight, or even more implants and often involve bone grafting, Dr Carbery uses this proven technique involving only four specially placed implants. The All-on-4^TM procedure was pioneered in Europe, is FDA and CE approved, and has a success rate superior to more traditional approaches.
